Jolly Park

Two revised sketches from SRG Parks Ltd regarding the development at Jolly Park

Note from Cllr Kevin Wakeham, Chairman Pelynt Parish Council

After our public meeting and a closed Parish Council meeting with SRG the Parish Council has received two further sketches from the developer. At this stage they are only sketches and not a pre-application for Jolly Park, these lodges will be residential, NO second homes or holiday lets, over 55s only and any comments/ ideas on the lay out/ recreation area/green space/dog walking/cycle path would be appreciated. There has been a license on the top part of Jolly Park for 48 lodges/caravans since 1972 and any infrastructure/services are looked at as part of the planning process.

The Parish Council has received two revised sketches from SRG Parks Ltd regarding the development at Jolly Park which incorporate several areas which may benefit the Parish and its residents including public open space, dog walking/cycling route and games area.

A meeting will be held on Thursday 4th January in the Village Hall commencing at 7pm and everyone will have the opportunity to voice their opinions on the sketches. The revised sketches will be available to view prior to the meeting on the Parish website and the noticeboard on The Green, they will also be displayed at the meeting. The purpose of the meeting is to discuss the benefits to the Parish this development could bring and ones that have been raised by the public as being important in the past. Members of the public will have the opportunity to discuss the sketches and make alternative suggestions to those shown regarding the public areas and any improvements that they feel would benefit the Parish. The meeting is not to discuss objection to the development, the site has been sold with permitted planning licences and we know development is inevitable. Residents are asked to remember that the Parish Council is merely a consultee in these matters but will work to obtain the best outcome for the Parish.
