Vacancy for a Parish Councillor

There is currently a vacancy for a Parish Councillor on Pelynt Parish Council. 

Expressions of interest must be made to the Parish Clerk by 6pm on Tuesday, 30th June.

To be eligible to stand you must be:

At least 18 years old on the day of your nomination.

A British citizen, an eligible Commonwealth citizen, of the Republic of Ireland, a qualifying EU citizen or an EU citizen with retained rights.

And you must meet at least one of these criteria:

Elector - you are on the electoral role for the Parish.

Residency - you have lived in or within 3 miles of the Parish for the whole of the past 12 months on the day of your nomination.

Employment - your main or only place of work during the whole of the whole of the past 12 months has been in the parish on the day of your nomination.

Property - you own or rent property or land in the parish for the whole of the past 12 months on the day of your nomination.
